Fresh from collaborating on Young Money artists Drake sophomore album "Take Care", The Weeknd released the Triology of his mixtape "Echoes of Silence".

The mixtape is a example of the true innovation the producer has, with stand out track being "D.D"- Dirty Diana, the impressive late Micheal Jackson cover. Overall the mixtape has a sleek atmosphere fueled by cocktail and partying lyrics over a smooth set of beats making it one to put on for listening pleasures.

Jhene Aiko

"Sailing Soul(s)"

Ms. Aiko is definitely a creative- force within the industry and having found fame in 2002, have signed to T.U.G/Epic Records at the tender age of 16. Following a stint of R'n'b influenced albums, a label exit, birth of her first child, daughter, Naiko; Jhene has finally made the decision to return to music. December 16th, saw Jhene sign a new deal with Def Jam Recording and if Jhene keeps the new evolved sound that she debuted on mixtape Sailing Soul(s) we could be hearing a lot more of the Japanese beauty in 2012.

Frank Ocean, lyricist, song- writer, visionary, musician and producer is Solid Mix's Sound of 2012. Mr Ocean has crafted a career with highlights including featuring and producing on Jay-Z & Kayne West's "Watch The Throne", writing credits for Beyonce's platinum album '4' and Justin Bieber's "My World" track 'Bigger' amongst others, several editorial spreads and a set date for his highly anticipating debut album to drop.
