So when I first heard there was going to be a remake my first reaction was "oh no, another classic is gonna get ruined"..when I found out Jayden Smith and Jackie Chan were going to be the stars i was even less impressed..nobody could ever replace the original Mr Miyagi (R.I.P Pat Morita) and a black karate kid? really? but to my surprise, the film was actually decent, I wouldn't call it a remake, it's basically same name, new film. Jaden Smith's acting isn't half bad and you can definately see Will Smith in him which makes the movie that much more funny, expect great things from Jaden in the next few years.
